FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Below are questions often asked. You might find your answers here!

Do you need a special machine for your templates?
All files include PDF, SVG and DXF formats (unless otherwise noted). If you don't have a cutting machine, the PDF file can be printed and cut by hand. Otherwise, there are several cutting machines available that will cut these templates for you using either the SVG or DXF files, including the Silhouette and eCraft.

If I buy a template from you, what do I get?
You are purchasing a downloadable file.  As soon as payment is complete, an email confirming your order will be sent to you. There, you will find the link to the download page. All files are zipped (or compressed) for easier download.

Download Includes:
- Detailed Instructions and Photos
- Template in three formats: PDF, SVG, DXF
- Things to Know Before Starting
- Terms of Use

Is there any way I can make a purchase without using PayPal and pay with a credit card instead?
At this time, we are only accepting payments through PayPal, but will be looking into accepting credit cards some time in the near future.

Some of the template pieces are showing up too large when I import them to my cutting machine.  Can I have the dimensions of each piece so I can resize them?
To see the actual size of each piece, print the PDF version. If the pieces imported to your cutting machine is a different size than the ones in the PDF version, there are a few simple solutions to fix this problem. First, the files need to be downloaded to your computer properly. To do this, you will need to use one of the following (free) unzipping programs. Here are a couple that work very well with our files (which were created on a Mac):

7-Zip:
 http://www.freeze.com/windows/Utilities/File-Compression
WinZip: http://www.winzip.com/trialpay.htm?sc_cid=go_uk_b_search_wz_brand
Stuffit:  http://www.stuffit.com/

You should also check the settings on your cutting machine.
For Sure Cuts A Lot 3 users:
Open SCAL3 and on the top left tab, click on:
         Sure Cuts A Lot 3 >> Preferences >>
         General:   SVG DPI: 90 (Inkscape)
         Edit: Uncheck "Simplify Threshold"

    For Silhouette Cameo Users:
Open Silhouette Studio (version 2.5) >> Preferences >> Import Options
When importing DXF >> Document Position: As-is
For older versions: Preferences >>Defaults >>
Uncheck "Scale to Fit Page" and click "OK"

I would like to know what the instructions are like for your products before I purchase. Is there a way I can see a sample?
Sure! You can try out one of the Freebies.

I have tried several times to check out but for some reason nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
Please refer to the "How to Order" section.

I am unable to open the PDF files.  Any suggestions?
You may have the older version of Adobe Reader. The PDF format requires the latest (free) version of Adobe Reader to open the files.

If I purchase a template from you can I use it for my classroom?
Please refer to the Class Setting information.

I'm getting errors and missing SVGs in folders. What should I do?
The SVGs are included in all the files.  If you are experiencing files that seem to be "missing" or "not in proportion, you may need to download an unzipping program or replace the one you're currently using.  There are several free ones on the internet that work well with our files, which were created on a Mac, including:

7-Zip: http://www.freeze.com/windows/Utilities/File-Compression
WinZip: http://www.winzip.com/trialpay.htm?sc_cid=go_uk_b_search_wz_brand

Once downloaded, all files should be visible.

I have not received an email confirming my order.
One of the reasons for not receiving the confirmation email in your inbox is that it may have gone to your "spam" or "junk" folder.  If email filters are set too high, some emails can be considered "undeliverable."  To ensure delivery to your inbox, please add creationsbyar@sbcglobal.net to your address book.

Also, if you have multiple email addresses, it's likely that the confirmation email was sent to the address associated with your PayPal account.

What is the timeframe for receiving my templates?
As soon as the checkout process is complete, you will immediately receive a confirmation email in your inbox. The download link for your template can be found in that email.
